Ancient Egypt’s New Kingdom

Ancient Egypt’s New Kingdom Throughout the Second Intermidiate Period which was 1650-1550 BC, Egypt was weakened by the immigration of the Hyksos People who were from the East. They assembled a Dynasty in Lower Egypt and the Nile Delta, which kept the Nile Valley segregated for Several Centuries until Ahmose I was finally able to establish the 18th Dynasty known as the Era of Al-Thamsa, which ruled over all of Egypt, thus beginning the New Kingdom Period in 1550BC. Egypt reached new peaks of power and wealth during the New Kingdom 1550-1069 BC. Ruled by the Pharaohs the territory extended into new frontiers in the South, West and the East and the Kings of Egypt erecterd Temples and Palaces that were unsurpassed by any in the World until that point in History and far after it. The extension of Territory during the 18th Dynasty was a reaction to the threats that had made Egypt fragile in the past, Throughout the Second Intermediate Period, different Kingdoms effectively invaded Egypt from the South and East making the Region economically fragile. In reaction the New Kingdom Pharaohs attempted to establish Territorial safeguards to prevent any future invasions. The outcome was an Empire extending from Syria and the way South into Modern Day Sudan and Ethiopia, which gave way to new Trade opportunities which resulted in an economy that permitted for a focal point on the Arts and Construction. The New Kingdom gave rise to Egypt’s most famous Pharaohs which included Queen Hatshepsut , Akhenaten , Thutmose III, Ramesses II and Tutankhamun. The Historical and archeological inheritance of these powerful Leaders are unparalled with those of all of the previous Kings of Egypt with the exception of those from the 4th Dynasty the Builders of the Great Pyramids. Ramesses II and Hatschepsut especially were Creative Builders, Most of the famous archeological Sites Tourists frequent today around Luxor which is the Site of Ancient Capital Thebes are attributed to these two Pharaohs or Ramesses descendents.
