Safaga Port Egypt.
Safaga Port is one of the oldest Ports of the Red Sea, and started by exporting Phosphate in 1911, and also played a vital role in serving the Allies in World War II .The Port is also a Major point for Naval Forces to carry out their tasks in securing the Eastern side of Egypt. The Port also for a long time served as Internationl with African Countries, Southeast Asian Countries and Austrailia.
In the present Day the Port is considered the Main Port of Upper Egypt as it serves as imports, Exports and of course the International Tourist Traffic.
The Port is far removed from the Sights of the Nile Delta and Cairo, that the other Ports inEgypt handle. However it is the only Port that allows the Visitors access to the Ancient Sites of Upper Egypt. Luxor and Aswan are both attainable for Day Tours from Safaga.
The City of Luxor has the most amounts of Ancient Egyptian Monuments in Egypt, which is why it is also known as the largest Outdoor Museum in the World.
The City of Aswan gives the Visitors the opportunity to view the most fabulous sites of the Ancient History of Egypt, including the interesting and colorful Culture of the Traditional Nubian People in the South of Egypt.
