Dahab

Dahab. Dahab consists of two Villages. The First Village is the Bedouin Village which is called Al-Asla and is located in the Southern Half, the Second of the Villages is the Administrative and Commercial Section of Dahab which can be found in the North. Also there is Coral Island which is on the occupied Palestinian Border, where the Crusaders constructed a Fortress which whose remnants can still be seen. Dahab was named after the Golden Color that identifies the Sands of it’s Pure Beaches . Prior to this The City was a Small Village for Fishermen , however it became famous in the Ninetees after the Egyptian Government bestowed upon it Special Attention. Throughout the 1960’s Dahab became the Stamping Ground for the Hippie Movement along The Red Sea, but has now grown into a flourishing Beach Community that presents easy access to some of the best Diving Locations you will find in the World. A Coastal Village in the middle of the Eastern Shore of Sinai Dahab is now a successful Diving Community, offering a vast variety of accommodations ranging from Hostels for the Travelers who are on a Budget to absolute Full on Service Luxurious Resorts, and all of this you will find located right upon the Water, which settles between the Purple Mountains of Sinai’s Centre and the Crystal Clear Waters of the Gulf of Aqaba with the Mountains of Saudi Arabia which you can visibly see in the distance across the Water.
